They grow up so fast . . .

Before you think that Anthony hit puberty overnight, let me explain. We just had our semi-annual dentist appointment and at the end of the appointment the children always receive a special gift. Well, today the gift was a fake mustache! Is he the cutest thing ever?! We've had a lot of fun with this little mustache AND we have no cavities either! Good news!

Taking a Tumble

While visiting us this week, my mother Flo took an unfortunate tumble down 14 stairs at our home. After a 911 call, the paramedics took her to a local hospital and did emergency surgery to stabilize the bone until she can get back to KY for a surgery that will permanently repair the open double fracture to her left wrist. The rods and bars she currently has will be replaced with plates and screws internally. Although the break is a severe one, we are thanking God greatly that it is the only break. She does have a facial laceration where her glasses broke and scraped her cheek during the fall. However, all we can say is He is so good to us :)

Season #3 for Nathan

We officially began season #3 for Nathan and baseball yesterday :) He went to his first practice and had some really nice hits, caught some grounders, and even improved on the fly balls. Although he doesn't yet know his team's name, he has made some friends on the team. It should be a great season for him!

Spring Training for Anthony :)

This is Anthony's first season as a Big Leaguer! He is officially a T-baller! Yeah for Anthony! He had his first practice yesterday and loved it. He thinks his coach is "awesome!" He is following in the footsteps of his older brother and seems to enjoy it just as much. Let the games begin!

Playdate at the Park

Although not officially here, spring has sprung in our hearts! We had a playdate with Nathaniel from Nathan's co-op class at a local park this past week. The weather was great and the kids played on the playground, rode bikes and scooters, and chased each other around. A lot of other people were getting rid of cabin fever as the park was pretty crowded. We're so thankful for the wonderful friends we have made at school this year and for the warmer weather :)

He's still so cute!

Ok, so after daily reminding the KIDS to be careful not to break Anthony's glasses, MOMMY breaks them !!! I was simply cleaning the lenses and adjusting the frames - they are supposedly Flexi-Frame Magic Twist frames for kids that don't break easily - and they simply snapped in two. But Anthony, as usual, took it all in stride as we worked frantically to come up with a temporary solution until we can get to the optometrist. He is still so stinking cute even with a rubber band between his eyes :) We thank God for these glasses and for Anthony's attitude.

Anthony's Presentation

Here is a picture of Anthony giving his presentation at co-op. He did it on the 5 circles of the globe (Arctic, Antarctic, Equator, Tropics of Cancer and Capricorn) as they are currently studying maps and weather. He did a very good job and had such a good time at "school". His attentive friends look on . . .
