Fall Festival 2009
We went to a Fall Festival given by a local church and the boys had a blast as usual. From Hay Mountain to all the inflatables, free food, hayrides, getting to see a real Fire Truck and Police car (and sit inside both!), they really enjoyed the fall fun.Last Bulldogs baseball game of the season :)
Nathan finished his second season of baseball a few days ago. He really enjoyed this year better than last year as he understood the game better and was able to improve a lot of his skills. The team always had a fun time together and we very gracious with each other. These are some pictures of the last game and a team picture after they received their medals. We can't wait for next season!Homeschool Co-op
These were taken from a recent day at the Homeschool Co-op. On this particular day Nathan was dissecting an owl pellet to find out what the owl had most recently eaten (Yuck!) and he found it had eaten a rodent of some sort. Anthony enjoys assembling puzzles to help him remember his memory work. Mamaw was in town to visit with them and was able to go to school with them as a special treat :)

The Boys of Fall :)
The Three Pumpkiteers!
Fall Decorations
We recently put up some fall decorations around the house to help welcome the new season. The boys got new placemats with all sorts of fall harvest foods on them. We placed the floral cornucopia I made last fall on the kitchen table. Outside we put some mums and pumpkins on the front steps along with a Happy Harvest wreath on the door and a friendly scarecrow in our flower bed :) We had a fun time decorating together!Fall Fare!
Yummy! We love fall food! Today during our morning school break we ventured outdoors - since we haven't seen the sun in days! - and ate apples dipped in caramel. This was a first for the boys and they really loved it. What's not to love? Sticky! Gooey! Sweet! We loved watching the changing leaves blowing in the wind and sharing a great snack together :)Monday, October 5, 2009
Budding Artist
Anthony has been participating in an art class each Monday given by another mother from our homeschool co-op and he loves it! Today they were doing painting and this is the Pilgrim painting he did. I was very impressed that a 4-year old could do that - when I'm sure that I could :) Anyway, we wanted to share the early works of this budding "arteest"!Money in the Mail!
As adults we usually get bills in the mail but as children, the mail seems to be more profitable :) At least for Nathan, Anthony, and Noah today who each received a Happy Halloween card from their grandparents in KY. Each card had a $1 bill inside! I'm not sure where we'll spend the loot but I am sure it won't take long!Sunday, October 4, 2009
He hits! He runs! He scores!
Nathan is enjoying his Fall baseball season once again. This year he is on the Bulldogs and its quite fun to hear them bark like dogs before each game :) Yesterday was particularly exciting as he hit his first double of the season and went on to score the first run of the game for his team. He really loved it and we were really proud! We knew he could do it since he's 1/2 Dominican! We make it a family event, and even though Anthony and Noah spend most of the time on the nearby playgrounds, we
all have a good time cheering on the team and spending time outdoors. Go Bulldogs!

At the beach!
We took a trip to see some friends in Florida (and get some great medical news for Amaury - Praise God!) and took a few trips to the beach. The boys loved it!!! Even though they are all Florida natives they didn't get many chances to go to the beach before we moved north and they were very young as well. They enjoyed playing in the sand, riding the waves, and seeing the small fish in the ocean. We love seeing God's beautiful creation displayed in the power of the ocean and the beauty of the beach!
