Rainbows!

We LOVE rainbows at our house as they are beautiful and such a visual reminder of God's great promises to us.  He never breaks a promise and each time we see a rainbow we discuss why God put the rainbow in the sky.  Thank you, God, for always being faithful!

To say the boys and I had fun at our homeschool trip to Vollmer Farm would have been an understatement!  They played solidly for 5 hours and then they closed the farm and we HAD to leave :)  It was a beautiful day and with the exception of Anthony getting stung on the ear by a bee (!!!), it was a wonderful Fall experience.  We hope to go back again :)

Cousin Cady and Mamaw came for a quick visit last week to watch both Nathan and Anthony's baseball games.  We all had a great time together - lots of laughs, lots of eating out, and lots of baseball games!  It was a great time for all!

Anthony had a fantastic season of Coach-Pitch fall baseball!  He made several excellent plays in the field this season and became a very consistent hitter.  He won the game ball a few games ago and now has a cool place to put the game ball - his new trophy!  We are especially glad he got to play with one of his best friends on the team and made several new ones as well.  Go Anthony!

Papaw came to visit at the start of the Fall baseball season for Nathan and Anthony.  He took the boys to the batting cages and was able to see 2 practices and 3 games.  They love when Papaw comes to watch (and to buy them Frosties from Wendy's!!).  We love you, Papaw!

It had been loose for a very long time, but he finally got it out :)  Our little boy is getting very big these days.  He's even more cute with it missing.  We praise God for you, sweet Anthony, and for His plans for you!

We were able to stay at Ridgecrest Conference Center while on our mini-vacation and it was splendid ;) It is such a nice, Christian facility and the views are spectacular.  We really, really wanted to stay longer, but we were very thankful for the time away :)

Look at that crazy, twisty-turvy road we had to follow just to get there!

We had such an awesome time at Chimney Rock State Park, located just about 20 miles east of Asheville, NC.  We spent the whole day climbing the rock, hiking the trails, and observing the wildlife, both real and not-so-real :)  This ranks right near the top of the boys' favorite vacations.  We are so blessed to live in a state where we have both the beach and the mountains within 2-3 hours drive.  We love looking at God's amazing creation :)
