Handsome Man!

How fortunate I am, how blessed I am to be married to this wonderful man! He is such a fantastic husband and father and I truly don't deserve him, but am so thankful God gave him to me and the boys. He is godly, caring, intelligent, very funny, hardworking, and oh-so-cute! On this Thanksgiving I am especially thankful for him :)

Last Day of HomeSchool Co-op for this year

The kids have really enjoyed this first session of the HomeSchool co-op and they really have learned plenty. Here is Noah with his good friend Avery Soca as they line up in a line like a train and play musical sticks to the tune of Jesus Loves Me! They rock! Also, Anthony is sipping on a fizzy drink his teacher made to show them about plant respiration. Science never tasted so good! The kids are looking forward to starting up again soon.

Sunday clothes

Nathan has always enjoyed dressing up for church, but now Anthony seems to be following in his footsteps. This particular Sunday he wanted to forego the jeans and wear his khaki pants with a button-down shirt AND a belt! I think the smile tells you he likes the result! Isn't he adorable!

Party on the Block 2009

We love going to our church's annual Halloween alternative called Party on the Block! We play games (including hitting pinatas!), jump on inflatables, eat junk food, and then hear a Gospel presentation to the hundreds of people and visitors present. Afterwards we head outside to pass out sweets in Trunk or Treat. The kids have a blast!

Fall Walk

We took our annual leaf-gathering walk on a beautiful night and captured some fun pics. The weather was great and the kids rode their own modes of transportation :) We even saw a cute caterpillar! We also made our usual Cross pumpkin that the kids love so much!

The Goat Whisperers!

Every day the boys would go outside - or, in this case, because it was too cold - or get in front of the window and make goat sounds to the goats on the farm next door to the cabin! It was hilarious! They would imitate goat noises and the goats would call back. These "conversations" would go on for quite a while until these three little goats got too cold or too tired. Does it make me want to move to a farm? Naw!!!

Snow in October! (We were in the NC mountains!)

Let's just say I don't remember snow in October EVER, but then again I don't live in the mountains. We thought it was so cool to see the beautiful Fall trees with snow on the ground underneath and in the higher elevations. It was uniquely beautiful. As the sign says "Autumn", we were beginning to wonder where Autumn went! :)

Little Cabin in the NC Woods

The time at the cabin was very relaxing and much needed. We took walks - when it wasn't snowing in October! - and played board games, put puzzles together, and kept warm in front of the fireplace. I think we're ready to go back :)

Hiking in the NC Mountains!

We also took a hike up the mountain behind the cabin and - although it was very, very cold - we really loved looking at the beauty that God has created and given us to enjoy. The kids really liked it and we saw some amazing nature. We would love to continue hiking!
