Three of the Best!

Here are 3 of my very favorite people in the whole world! Noah was asleep or his pretty face would be here too :) What can I say except that I am so blessed to have these beautiful souls in my heart, my family, and my life. Thank you Jesus for blessing me so much!

Steph's Birthday 2009!

My family always makes my birthday a special one and this year was no exception :) We sang, ate cake, and opened presents. We even did it twice when some friends from the Spanish ministry dropped by after church. Thanks be to God for His grace towards me!

Happy Birthday Jesus Party 2009

Our church holds an annual Happy Birthday Jesus Party each December and this year was no exception. It is an outreach event for the children in our community. A great time was had in crafts, missions, music, birthday cake, and, finally, a reenactment of that first Christmas night when Jesus was born! The boys had a fantastic time as always!

Take 2!

Because Amaury was away on a trip on the day of Nathan's actual party, we decided to do another mini-celebration when he returned. Papaw was also visiting so it was a wonderful time to be able to celebrate his 8th birthday!

8 on 8! Nathan's 8th Birthday party!

We can hardly believe our first little boy God gave us is becoming a much bigger boy these days. He celebrated his 8th birthday with a Lego cake shared with some friends from our Homeschool co-op and a couple even spent the night! They played games, built Legos, giggled to Tom & Jerry cartoons, ate some tasty cake, and had a blast spending time together. We are so thankful for the blessing Nathan is to our family and we are so proud of him.

CHRISTmas spirit

This year we finally had space -after almost 3 years with tiny space -to put up our beautiful tree and all the decorations that go with it. We try to emphasize that the lights represent Jesus being the Light of the World and the gifts are simply reminders of the Gift of Jesus and the ones the wise men brought to Him. We love taking time to celebrate the birth of Jesus the King. Merry CHRISTmas to everyone :)

Handsome Man!

How fortunate I am, how blessed I am to be married to this wonderful man! He is such a fantastic husband and father and I truly don't deserve him, but am so thankful God gave him to me and the boys. He is godly, caring, intelligent, very funny, hardworking, and oh-so-cute! On this Thanksgiving I am especially thankful for him :)

Last Day of HomeSchool Co-op for this year

The kids have really enjoyed this first session of the HomeSchool co-op and they really have learned plenty. Here is Noah with his good friend Avery Soca as they line up in a line like a train and play musical sticks to the tune of Jesus Loves Me! They rock! Also, Anthony is sipping on a fizzy drink his teacher made to show them about plant respiration. Science never tasted so good! The kids are looking forward to starting up again soon.

Sunday clothes

Nathan has always enjoyed dressing up for church, but now Anthony seems to be following in his footsteps. This particular Sunday he wanted to forego the jeans and wear his khaki pants with a button-down shirt AND a belt! I think the smile tells you he likes the result! Isn't he adorable!

Party on the Block 2009

We love going to our church's annual Halloween alternative called Party on the Block! We play games (including hitting pinatas!), jump on inflatables, eat junk food, and then hear a Gospel presentation to the hundreds of people and visitors present. Afterwards we head outside to pass out sweets in Trunk or Treat. The kids have a blast!

Fall Walk

We took our annual leaf-gathering walk on a beautiful night and captured some fun pics. The weather was great and the kids rode their own modes of transportation :) We even saw a cute caterpillar! We also made our usual Cross pumpkin that the kids love so much!

The Goat Whisperers!

Every day the boys would go outside - or, in this case, because it was too cold - or get in front of the window and make goat sounds to the goats on the farm next door to the cabin! It was hilarious! They would imitate goat noises and the goats would call back. These "conversations" would go on for quite a while until these three little goats got too cold or too tired. Does it make me want to move to a farm? Naw!!!

Snow in October! (We were in the NC mountains!)

Let's just say I don't remember snow in October EVER, but then again I don't live in the mountains. We thought it was so cool to see the beautiful Fall trees with snow on the ground underneath and in the higher elevations. It was uniquely beautiful. As the sign says "Autumn", we were beginning to wonder where Autumn went! :)

Little Cabin in the NC Woods

The time at the cabin was very relaxing and much needed. We took walks - when it wasn't snowing in October! - and played board games, put puzzles together, and kept warm in front of the fireplace. I think we're ready to go back :)
