The Rain in Spain Falls Mainly on the Plain!

Amaury was able to mix a little pleasure with work on his recent trip to Spain for 11 days. He got to explore a lot of the country, visit missionaries, and see what work the Lord is doing there. It was exciting and challenging at the same time. Spain is a beautiful country, but full of people who need to hear about Jesus.

Thanksgiving in KY 2008

The kids and I travelled to KY for Thanksgiving - my first time there at Thanksgiving in 14 years! Amaury was in Spain and couldn't join us, but we missed him and he missed the turkey!! It was wonderful - we have SO much to be thankful for! I am most thankful for Jesus, my family, and our health - everything else is icing on the cake :)

First flurries of the season!

Last year we only got flurries once but this year we've already had some nice ones. It was a nice interruption from homeschool and it brought lots of smiles to their faces! We're hoping for a 'real' snowfall at least once this year. These 3 little Floridians have never seen that :)

Gorgeous Fall in Wake Forest

The kids love to play in the leaves, so we took a
nature walk! They collected leaves and then we put them between wax paper and iron them. This keeps their beautiful color - we have 2 years worth now in perfect condition! God is amazing to have created so many beautifully colored leaves!

Daily life with the Santos Family!

We're just loving life and loving Jesus! We are blessed beyond measure!

Party on the Block!

Every Halloween, our church Open Door Baptist Church has an evangelistic outreach to the community to provide a Halloween alternative. It was our first time and the kids really had a blast!

Pumpkin-Carving Time!

Every year we have a blast carving a cross into our pumpkins and talking how the cross keeps our lives free from so much of the evil/sin/bad in the world. Its a great time and a real teachable moment. Then we toast the pumpkin seeds and Mommy eats ALL of them!!!
