The boys are in front of my office when I was working in Financial Aid at Palm Beach Community College in Palm Beach Gardens, FL.  Not a single one of them was born when I worked here and now they could work there in a few years :)

Friends from way back . . .

This is our friend Arinee!  She and her husband, Randall, were with us when Amaury and I met in the Dominican Republic in 1996 and were later in our wedding in 1998 :) They hold a very special place in our hearts and our lives and it was a blessing to visit them when we were in FL.  They fed us a great dinner and took us to a beautiful waterfront park.

Wow!  What an incredible rainbow over the water!  Its not in the picture, but it was actually a double rainbow and you could see in the entire rainbow from end to end!  Thank you, God, for your promises!

Flagler Towers :)

This is where I lived when I worked at Palm Beach Atlantic University (then, College).  I lived in this beautiful apartment facing the Intracoastal waterway for two years and loved every minute of it.  It is a very special place to me for many, many reasons.  God grew me so much in the time I lived there and I am forever thankful!

When I lived there, I was not married and had no children.  Never did I imagine returning with my 10-year-old son one day to show him where I lived!  What a blessing!  The people living there now even chose the same doormat as we have at our home in NC!

The Fred family

These are our wonderful friends from our former church in West Palm, Jose Luis and Liza Fred and their beautiful daughters Christina and Camila.  They were so incredibly generous with their hospitality when we visited and made us feel right at home.  They love the Lord and serving Him and they hold a special place in our hearts!  Bendiciones, la familia Fred!

This beach was only a short walk/drive from where we lived in West Palm and was actually on the island of Palm Beach, the center of opulence and wealth, but they let us commoners visit as long as we didn't stir up too much trouble :)  We used to go all the time. The whole area is beautiful and so manicured and clean.  We didn't go to the beach this particular day, but just went to smell the sea salt in the air, feel the breeze on our faces, and gaze at the endless waves . . .  How I LOVE the beach, such a magnificent reminder of God's creation!

In the beginning . . . .

This is the first apartment that Amaury and I lived in just a couple of months after we were married.  We were in the top right apartment, G-26, and they were called Samaritan Gardens.  They belonged to First Baptist Church West Palm Beach in Florida were we lived.  The apartments were old and run down even then.  I remember my refrigerator was green!  But we were happy and thankful and blessed to be there.

This building belonged to the church and was called the Olive Branch, a play on Biblical words and the name of the street it faced :)  We had our Hispanic church meet in this building for over 3 years.  What a blessed time of ministry, hard work, and lasting friendships that occurred in this place!  Praise be to God!

My friend Ashley . . .

This is my wonderful friend, Ashley, from West Palm Beach and her sweet daughter Olivia :)  We were blessed to visit her and spend time with her for the first time in many, many years.  It is good to see how the Lord has provided for her and taken care of her all these years.  Her poor Olivia had to withstand three rowdy boys the entire time, but she held her ground :)  Blessings to you, Ashley!
