Anthony's A's t-ball team!

This was Anthony's 2nd year of t-ball and he truly enjoyed it.  He was blessed to have Coach Ralph as his coach again this year.  We appreciate so much Coach Ralph and his wife Tracy!  He got to play almost all the positions and did an excellent job at batting.  He even had a special visit from Papaw who got to see him receive his medal at the end of the season.  We love baseball!

Awana Awards Ceremony!

We had a fantastic year in Awanas!  Each one of the boys (Nathan in TNT, Anthony in Sparks, and Noah in Cubbies) finished their scripture memorization books this year AND that is no small accomplishment.  We finished the year with an Awards ceremony where each was recognized for their hard work.  We are so proud and thankful that they are hiding God's word in their hearts and for a church that supports children's ministry.

Third Day Concert

To say that my family - the 3 boys especially - LOVE the music of Christian rock band Third Day would be a gigantic understatement :)  Since being introduced to them last year they have memorized so many songs, practiced the drums to these songs, and sung these songs everywhere we go.  It is especially thrilling to me to see them enjoy a band with such a great history of proclaiming God's word through music that I personally have enjoyed since the mid-90s.  When we heard they were coming to Greensboro we knew we had to go!  It was a sell-out crowd and an awesome performance.  Afterwards, the band was available to sign autographs and take pictures.  The above picture of Nathan and Anthony is with David Carr, the band's drummer.  They were so excited!  The band that opened for Third Day was Tenth Avenue North and was comprised of former students of Palm Beach Atlantic College in West Palm Beach, where I worked for several years.  In fact, they were students there when I worked there.  We chuckled about that for a minute!  Small world :)  Praise God for bands that proclaim the Truth of the Gospel!

MOPS Tea and Testimony

Here are some pictures of our final MOPS meeting of 2010-2011 entitled Tea and Testimony.  Our Discussion Group gets to decorate a table, share a scrumptious breakfast, and share how God has used MOPS to encourage us, challenge us, and teach us to be better mothers and wives.   This is a precious group of godly ladies that I adore and was privileged to be a part of this year.  This was my 4th year in North Wake MOPS and I am deeply indebted to MOPS and all the ladies for helping me to become the mother God would have me to be through Biblical teaching and many prayers.

Anthony is 6!!!

Once again we hit Jumpin' Beans to celebrate a family birthday.  This time is was for Anthony's 6th Birthday!  It was a great day with lots and lots of friends from church, school, and the neighborhood.  He had a supercool Monster Truck birthday cake and really exciting presents.  We are so thankful God gave us Anthony to be part of our family.  His tenderness, sweet spirit, and loving kindness are such gifts to our family.  WE LOVE YOU, ANTHONY!

Coloring Eggs

While all of the boys know that Easter is truly about Jesus and His resurrection, they still enjoy coloring Easter eggs.  It was always one of the highlights of my childhood Easters as well.  They LOVE watching the color tablets melt and then dipping their eggs in one by one and seeing them change colors.  We love the many colors of spring :)

Classical Conversations Field Day 2011

At the end of our school year our homeschool group has a fun-filled day of End of Year Awards and Field Day where the children participate in games and fun activities.  This year it was held at a local park and we had great attendance.  Each of the boys received a Certificate of Completion from his tutor and other ribbons and awards.  We love our CC community!
