Friends from KY

Here are 6 crazy children! On our recent visit to KY to see family we managed to spend a little time with a childhood friend of mine and her 3 children. All the children are within a few months of each other and had a great time hanging out and playing together. We are thankful for friends who stay in touch and who are working hard at being parents who love their children and teach them to love God.

Pastor Alexis

This is an old photo from about 3 years ago of a pastor friend of ours and his wife. They are church planters and Amaury helped them get a church started. The Director of Mission is on the right. This is probably the first church Amaury helped get established where he wasn't the pastor. We are so thankful for the work God has called Amaury to and for his dedication to the position.

Abuela Gina

Abuela Gina has just returned to the Dominican Republic after a 2-month long visit with us here in NC. She was able to experience and American Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Years, and even Nathan's birthday. She saw snow, several times, for the first time. She made lots of friends at church and made all of us improve our Spanish skills (except Amaury!). It was truly a privilege to have her here with us and we praise God for her safe return to the DR.

Onward and UPWARD!

Anthony had his first Upward game on Saturday and really had a good time. His strength seems to be defense at this point :) Upward is such a wonderful community outreach program and we're proud to be a part of it.

Water Aerobics? Naw, just swimming lessons!

Both Nathan and Anthony have been taking swimming lessons November, December, and now in January at the YMCA. Today was their last lesson and they have both done wonderfully well. They have learned all the major strokes, gotten very comfortable in the 9 feet section of the pool, and improved their technique. Mostly they've had a lot of FUN! We are so thankful that they have the opportunity to learn this life-saving skill at a young age :)

Sweet Noah :)

Our sweet Noah is so full of life and fun and is growing like a weed. He just got a new pair of tennis shoes last week and is only one size smaller that his 5 year-old brother - Noah is 3! He brings us such joy and affection and is a loving part of our family. We are blessed to have Noah around and we thank God for him :)

Upward Basketball

Here we go !!!!! Anthony is SO excited to be playing Upward Basketball at church. He's been talking about it since last summer :) He loves his coach, his friends, but especially his uniform. I'm not sure if a uniform was part of it whether he would play or not :) We're looking forward to cheering on #15 this season! Go Anthony and the Lions!
