Amaury celebrates another year! Happy Birthday!

Three years ago Amaury began sharing his birthday with his third son Noah. I think he would say that he counts it a blessing to be able to do that. In fact, his three boys are among his greatest blessings in life. We thank God for another wonderful healthy year for Amaury and we rejoice in God's goodness over him and towards our family. Around here we call him "Daddy" and he is the best Daddy we know :) We love him so much! Happy Birthday Daddy and many more!

Our baby Noah is 3!!! Happy Birthday big boy!

Our sweet baby boy turned 3 today! Its hard to believe he can already be 3 years old. He is probably the most joyful, most affectionate, most loving, and loudest little boy we've ever known. He is such a blessing to our family and we love him with all our hearts. We celebrated with a cake, balloons, and some presents. You can see in the pictures that he is already practicing how to hold up 3 little fingers. Being 2 was much easier to demonstrate :) We love you Noah and we thank God for you!

Happy Easter 2010!

We have a wonderful church family to share Easter with. We had a large lunch/fellowship meal and then the children were able to hunt eggs in the backyard and forest. We are privileged to have such great friends to share life with since we live so far from family.

The TRUE meaning of Easter . . .

To better explain the true meaning of Easter to the kids, this year we decided to "build" a tomb and place Jesus inside. On Friday we constructed this tomb, placed Jesus inside on the Lego bed, sealed the doors shut, and rolled a big stone in front of the doors. Two Lego soldiers guarded the tomb at all times. However, when we awoke on Sunday morning, the stone was rolled away, the tomb was EMPTY, and the angel said HE HAS RISEN! How exciting! We serve a LIVING God and that is why we celebrate Easter!

Coloring Eggs

Every year the boys look forward to coloring Easter eggs - they love the transformation from a solid white egg into something very colorful and beautiful. They also love putting funny stickers on them and then hiding them. It was always one of my favorite things to do as a child also so we all have a good time :)

They grow up so fast . . .

Before you think that Anthony hit puberty overnight, let me explain. We just had our semi-annual dentist appointment and at the end of the appointment the children always receive a special gift. Well, today the gift was a fake mustache! Is he the cutest thing ever?! We've had a lot of fun with this little mustache AND we have no cavities either! Good news!

Taking a Tumble

While visiting us this week, my mother Flo took an unfortunate tumble down 14 stairs at our home. After a 911 call, the paramedics took her to a local hospital and did emergency surgery to stabilize the bone until she can get back to KY for a surgery that will permanently repair the open double fracture to her left wrist. The rods and bars she currently has will be replaced with plates and screws internally. Although the break is a severe one, we are thanking God greatly that it is the only break. She does have a facial laceration where her glasses broke and scraped her cheek during the fall. However, all we can say is He is so good to us :)
