Kids can sleep ANYWHERE!

After a long week of driving Nathan back and forth to camp, Anthony was, apparently, exhausted. Right in the middle of the football field at the Track Meet with all sorts of commotion going on around him he fell asleep ---sitting up! A little later he fell slowly sideways until he was perfectly resting on a nice bed of grass. He looked too cute :)

Runner's Camp 2009 Track Meet!

Nathan participated in Runner's Camp for the first time this summer. It is a camp that teaches track and field skills along with Scriptures and is sponsored by a local church as an outreach project. He went Monday-Friday learning different skills and playing lots of fun water games. On Friday night he participated in the track meet in the 100m, 400m, Hurdles, and Discus Throw. He placed 1st in the Discus with a throw of 24 feet 4 inches! It was really a fun time for all and he is already looking forward to it next year!

Runners Camp 2009 - Track Meet part 2!

Nathan loved being part of his team -the Yellow Lightning- which was made up of all 7 year old boys. They got to have a Parade of Champions with their yellow flags, receive ribbons for their efforts, and make some new friendships.

Mudcats with Mamaw!

Contrary to what it may seem, we do NOT live at the Mudcats ballpark :) However, we do like to take family or friends that visit us to see a game or two. Mamaw got to celebrate the 4th of July with us and the Mudcats along with an awesome 30-minute fireworks display afterwards!

Let Freedom Ring - Bike Parade 2009!

Every 4th of July the Town of Wake Forest organizes a Kid's Bike parade and the boys love it! This year we decorated the bikes and each other and, along with several hundred other families, walked through the historic streets of downtown Wake Forest. It really is a beautiful site to see the red, white, and blue and remember God's great blessing on this country.

Bike Parade 2000 - Take Two!

Here are some more pics of the Bike Parade - they look absolutely adorable! (Even if Noah's face doesn't show it ! :)
