Relaxation is very underrated . . .

An important part of any time away is just hanging out and relaxing with those you love. We think its highly underrated :) We tried to spend time resting, sharing with each other, and just enjoying being together and doing nothing. We really loved it.

Summer time means Pool time!

Aunt Debbie has an awesome pool and we got to go a few times while in KY. Nathan really improved his skills a LOT and was even jumping off the side of the pool! Anthony- who was missing his noodle - stayed close to the ladder and played pool baseball. Noah liked to be bobbed up and down in the water and try out the life jacket. It was a great time!

Familia!!!

An exciting part of every trip is seeing family members you don't get to see very often like aunts, second cousins, and great uncles. We saw Aunt Debbie, Aunt Pam, cousin Tabby, cousin Kim,second cousins Cady, Dylan, Corbin, Chaz, and Rayla and great uncle Chub! Its great to be with family!

Summer nights are made for bikes!

There are few things the kids enjoy more than riding their bikes after dinner. They enjoy the sunset, the breeze blowing in their buzz cuts, and the thrill of chasing the mosquitos! Aside from that they just have fun on their bikes and being together. Its quickly becoming the summer night ritual at our house and no one is complaining :) Not even Papaw who helped with the cleanup!

Bikes and Friends!

Several nights each week Nathan, Anthony, and Noah are visited by their wonderful friends (and neighbors!) Josh, Hannah, and Avery for some "bike and trike fellowship". It is a wonderful time for the 6 of them to hang out and play together. They each enjoy
riding different cars, pushing each other, and laughing. We think we enjoy it as much as they do!

The backyard garden!

We decided to try our hands at a very small garden this year with only a few "crops". We planted 2 tomato plants, 1 green bell pepper plant, and 1 cucumber plant. We are proud to say they are all doing well, but the cucumber has some catching up to do! We had our firstfruit this past week from the pepper plant. Its so neat to watch it grow almost daily. There is also a peach tree in our yard and it also has some beautiful little peaches on it. And, of course, we have a nice hammock to take a rest from our toiling in the sun! We are so blessed!

Front yard landscaping :)

What a joyful reminder of God's creativity when we walk outside our front door! The people who lived in our home before us must have had green thumbs as they planted numerous flowers and plants around the yard. They are beautiful! And since we didn't know what was planted it was a great surprise when they all started blooming. The mosaic stepping stone with the white cross is a project that Nathan and Mommy did together a couple of years ago when living in Florida. We love it too!
