Happy Birthday Jesus!

As we strive to keep the focus on Christ during the Christmas season we decided to bake a birthday cake for Jesus and have a birthday party. The kids loved it and we enjoyed the delicious cake. Christ deserves all the honor and glory, not only on His birthday, but every day!

Feliz Navidad 2008!

We celebrated Christmas this year in NC! The boys loved all their presents. Nathan loved his science kit that lets him do experiments; Anthony loved his V-tech electric alphabet game; Noah enjoyed the empty boxes mostly, but also his shopping cart with play groceries he can push around! It was a great family time although we missed our family in KY and the DR!

Stephanie's birthday!

We actually celebrated it twice - one time as a suprise at the church Christmas party at our good friends house and again with the family on the actual day! It was so fun - cake, Mexican food, singing, attending a Walk through Bethlehem at a local church, and being with family! The best!

Nathan's 7th Birthday/Cumpleanos de Nathan

We celebrated Nathan's 7th birthday with an all-boy party at Chuck E. Cheese. He loved it and loved playing all the games with his friends. Of course, Chuck E. Cheese showed up and led us in some dancing and shouting. We are so thankful for our big boy Nathan!

Family Photos 2008

We decided to take our annual pictures in a more casual setting this year and we were so glad we did! These were taken at Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary in Wake Forest in November, just before all the beautiful leaves left. We had a really good time!

The Rain in Spain Falls Mainly on the Plain!

Amaury was able to mix a little pleasure with work on his recent trip to Spain for 11 days. He got to explore a lot of the country, visit missionaries, and see what work the Lord is doing there. It was exciting and challenging at the same time. Spain is a beautiful country, but full of people who need to hear about Jesus.

Thanksgiving in KY 2008

The kids and I travelled to KY for Thanksgiving - my first time there at Thanksgiving in 14 years! Amaury was in Spain and couldn't join us, but we missed him and he missed the turkey!! It was wonderful - we have SO much to be thankful for! I am most thankful for Jesus, my family, and our health - everything else is icing on the cake :)
