Out of Africa - Amaury goes international AGAIN!

God provided an opportunity for Amaury and 2 others to travel to Kenya in east Africa to do discipleship training in early February. They were able to train pastors and other lay leaders in Nairobi, Mombasa, and Malinde (the last two were on the Indian Ocean coast). He was impressed with the beauty of the country and the people and of their dedication and love of the Lord. We praise God for what He is doing in Kenya!

More . . . Out of Africa!

What an awesome opportunity and experience Amaury had to be able to share with the Kenyan pastors and lay leaders - some of whom travelled on foot for more than 2 hours (sometimes in rain) to come to the training. They were in 3 different cities and did get one day to enjoy "safari"!

Our first SNOWSTORM!!!!!!!!

January 20, 2009 brought the Santos family our very first snow adventure here in NC - or anywhere else for that matter! We had about 5 inches and it was beautiful. It kept snowing the entire time we played and the kids loved seeing it fall but not hearing it like when it rains. Nathan and Anthony even got to tube down the hill! These Florida-born and bred boys are taking a liking to NC!

And still more snow . . . . !

It really was a beautiful site! We really enjoyed it - although the kids were really, really cold as they didn't have the right kind of gloves to keep them dry! Praise God for His beautiful creation!

Washington, DC 2008

Between Christmas and New Year's we took a little mini-vacation to the nation's capital and really had a good time. It was a little cold, but we were able to visit all the monuments and spent a day at the National Air and Space Museum - a favorite of the boys! It was refreshing to be reminded how our great country was founded on Christian principles and how we need to pray that it returns to them.

Our little man!

Nathan got his first suit this Christmas and he looked SO handsome and all-grown up!

Happy Birthday Jesus!

As we strive to keep the focus on Christ during the Christmas season we decided to bake a birthday cake for Jesus and have a birthday party. The kids loved it and we enjoyed the delicious cake. Christ deserves all the honor and glory, not only on His birthday, but every day!
